Over the past 13+ years, I’ve had the chance to design, build, and care for websites across a mix of industries — from e-commerce shops to charity platforms and everything in between. Most of my projects start with pen and paper and grow into fully functional, user-friendly sites that live, breathe, and evolve over time.
Some are still out there thriving; others have passed the torch. But each one taught me something — and all of them helped shape the web creator I am today.
As a volunteer Web Designer through the Scottish Tech Army, I was proud to support the Women’s Centre Glasgow in revitalising their website on Squarespace.
My goal was to create a more intuitive and welcoming experience for visitors, while also ensuring the site could be easily managed by the Centre’s intern super-admin.
Alongside the redesign, I produced a bespoke suite of video tutorials — from step-by-step guidance on managing the site as a super-admin to an engaging introduction on how to boost an organisation’s presence through social media.
These resources were crafted to empower the team with the tools and confidence to take full ownership of their digital space.
The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Monifieth
The Holy Trinity Church in Monifieth asked me to freshen up and renew their website. Note the tidied and clean look. Also, when viewing it from a Mobile phone or other portable device.
I enjoyed it immensly to receive this voluntary task to update this fantastic website and I hope the church is more seen and heard in the community.
The IMRF Bookshop - Online
This e-commerce website ran from 2012 to January 2023 and had great success in the Maritime Rescue Industry and the related Education Industry all over the world.
I built it, maintained it and did all the completing of the orders as well.
In 2019 I made about £12000 revenue on behalf of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF).
The IMRF Bookshop started off in Joomla 1.5, but around 2018 I rebuilt it into a Shopify website, which boosted sales and reduced time in maintenance. Best migration I have ever done.
Because of cutbacks at the time, and me leaving the IMRF in 2023, this website – regretably – no longer exists.
The International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) was the first real paid job I did in web design and digital design.
The IMRF website already existed in Joomla 1.5 when I came onboard in 2012, and over the years, it migrated through higher Joomla versions.
I created other similar sub-websites (in total, 7 websites) as well to expand on the many projects the IMRF had, and I built and maintained them all.
Then, around 2018/2019, the new management decided to go with the website company Access in London and reduced the projects and websites we had. But, I still assisted in the design of the latest main IMRF Website.
I maintained and worked on the IMRF websites from 2012 to January 2023.
The website attracted well over 3000 newsletter subscribers, well over 100.000 visits per year and became well-known in the Maritime Rescue Community.
